Our competitive cheer team, Hellcats Cheerleaders, competed at ICC Southern Championships at the beginning of this month and came away with a clean sweep of trophies from each division.
Four of our teams, Panthers, Leopards, Lions and Jaguars entered the competition. Panthers entered the Junior All-Girl Level 1 division and came away with 4th place. Lions were in the Junior All-Girl Level 2 Stunt Group Divison and also came 4th. Jaguars competed in the Senior All-Girl Level 3 Stunt Group Division taking home 3rd place and Leopards became Division Champions for the Senior All-Girl Level 2.1 division.
Hellcats usually train all season to compete in July so competing in February was a big change for us and we couldn’t be prouder of the results and how hard our teams worked. Getting competition ready in just 4 months was a big ask but our cheerleaders rose to the challenge and it all paid off on the day.
Hellcats are now all back in the gym working hard to respond to judges comments and improve the routines ahead of our next competition, BCA Summer Showdown in June and FC Internationals in July.
Don’t forget we also have 2 recreational teams, one in Weybridge and one in Chichester, both of which are open to new members throughout the season. These teams are a great starting point for those hoping to join one of our competition teams next season or those who would like to give cheerleading a try without the time and financial commitments of a competitive squad. For more information or to book a free trial to either of these teams, please visit the Hellcats website.
